Is there a free AI character generator?+
Yes, inside Cladegrove. There is no separate free tier to hunt for: every new account gets 10 welcome credits and 5 free character photos, with no card required and nothing expiring. That is enough to design a consistent AI character and generate real photos before you pay anything. Paid plans add monthly credits once you start posting daily.
Do I really get free credits before paying?+
Yes. Every new account starts with 10 welcome credits, spendable on any tool (Single shot, InstaMood, Friends, or extra character photos), plus 5 free character photo renders on top. No credit card required, nothing expires, and you choose how to spend it.
What counts as 1 credit?+
One render equals one credit. A Single shot with 2 variants is 2 credits. A character photo is 0.5 credits. InstaMood charges 1 credit per scene. Friends charges 1 credit per character plus 1 for the group shot.
What happens if a generation fails?+
The credit lands back in your account immediately, automatically. You never pay for a failed render, and you never have to email support to get one back.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Subscriptions are monthly and can be cancelled from your account settings in two clicks. You keep access until the end of the current billing cycle.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?+
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you only pay the prorated difference for the rest of the cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle so you keep the credits you already have.
Do unused credits roll over?+
Yes. Subscription credits never expire: every billing cycle adds new credits on top of whatever is already in your balance, and unused credits stay available even if you change plan or cancel. Add-on top-up packs stay in your account for 90 days from purchase. Welcome credits never expire.
Can I get a refund on a subscription?+
Credits are delivered the moment you generate. Under EU consumer law (Art. 59(m) D.Lgs. 206/2005) this counts as immediate digital delivery, so the standard 14-day right of withdrawal doesn't apply to consumed credits. Cancel any time to stop future billing. Refunds aren't self-service: if you believe a charge should be reversed, email support@cladegrove.com for a case-by-case review. Failed generations are always returned as credits, automatically.
Can I use the generated images commercially?+
Yes. Every render is yours to use, including for paid client work and brand campaigns, within the Acceptable Use Policy. See the Terms for the details on AI Act disclosure (EXIF/XMP) and the no-likeness rule.
